Q: Are there any age restrictions? Are the classes male, female, or coed classes?
A: There are no age restrictions, however, if a child is under 18 they need to have the parent sign a release. if the child is under 16 they must be accompained by a parent or sibling over 16. The classes are coed classes.
Q: Which classes can I come to:
A: Unlike most Boot Camps which only allow you to come to certain classes or pay additional fees to attend more classes, Stafford Boot Camp offers NO restrictions and you can come to as many classes as you want.
Q: How are the classes structured, what if I'm in great shape will they push me and what if I'm in horrible shape will they kill me?
A: Most exercises are performed on timed intervals. What this means is that we may do something for 30 seconds to several minutes. Each Boot Camper is able to work within their own fitness level when we do these intervals. For example if we are doing push-ups for 30 seconds some boot campers will be able to do 25 and some may only be able to do 2, but as you progress through the program you will be able to push further within each timed interval.
Q: What types of exercises will we be doing?
A: Push-ups, squats, sit-ups, various abdominal exercises, lunges, TRX suspension trainers, boxing, spinning, resistance bands, dumbbells, barbells, medicine balls, towel drills, steps, cardio drills, agility ladders, kettle bells, stairs, bleachers, versa bands, and much much more... You will get a full body workout almost each and every workout.
Q: What do I need to bring and what do I wear to class.
A: You need to purchase your own exercise mat. You can get mats at Wal-Mart or other sporting good stores for $10-$20 depending on the thickness of the mat. Also you may want to bring your own water bottle. We also require you to wear Stafford Boot Camp Shirts to all workouts as it provides a sense of unity and allows you to feel like your apart of something thats bigger than just yourself. Stafford Boot Camp functions as a TEAM and we are all here to accomplish similar goals. Additional shirts can be purchased throughout the session if needed.
Q: Can i cut the sleeves off or cut a slit in the front of the shirt?
A: Yes these shirts are yours to do with as you please and if don't like sleeves your more than welcome to remove them.
Q: Will I feel out of place if I'm out of shape and do I have to worry about people making fun of me?
A: Stafford Boot Camp takes a non-military approach to Boot Camp. Positive talk and encouragement is all that is allowed and if your are caught taking about other campers or making fun of anyone in the class you may be asked to leave the program without refund immediately. We take this very serious and require a positive environment at all times.
Q: How sore will I be the first week?
A: Extremely SORE!! but it passes and gets better with each day. Just remember the harder something is the bigger results you get.
Q: What are typical results from this program
A: Results depend on so many factors. How much you have to lose, how hard you push yourself in the classes, how well you follow the nutrition advice given etc... but typical results are 0-25lbs, 5-25 inches, 2-12% drop in body fat.
Q: What type of shoes do I need?
A: You can go a long way toward discovering what you need in a running shoe by looking at your feet. There are three basic foot types, each based on the height of your arches. The quickest and
easiest way to determine your foot type is by taking the "wet test," Click to see how to
